Handsome and tough Jake Tanner, a veteran and the owner of a successful security firm, never lets his past hold him back. Despite his prosthetic hand and foot, women swoon over him—and with him between the sheets. Yet Jake feels bored and restless…until he’s hired to protect a beautiful writer whose life is in terrible danger.
Self-imprisoned by the fear of the anonymous stalkers who threaten her life, video-game writer Natalie Beck now only dreams of the world outside her pink-bedecked apartment. Trusting people again is off-limits. But the more time Jake spends with her, the more his professional commitment evolves from simple duty to scorching desire. While deeply sensual sparks ignite between the two, the danger outside circles closer. Will Jake’s intense devotion be enough to save Natalie? Or will she turn away from the one man willing to do anything to save her?

You know a book is good when you stay up until 3AM to finish it. This is the 3rd book in the Kerr Chronicles. This book focuses on Jake, the security expert who was an injured vet and worked for Ian and Kaga. This book, like the others, have a great hero, not perfect, in fact, flawed but that's what makes him so lovable. Jake lost an arm and a leg in the Gulf War but he manages to go on to a successful life with the love and support of his friends and family. He's happily single until he meets Natalie, a woman with agoraphobia who is being threatened by some unknown weirdo. Her cousin Oliver hires Jake to find out who is terrorizing her and making her so anxious that the strides she made in combatting her agoraphobia are eroded.
What's so great about this book is how accurately the author depicts agoraphobia. I'm a mental health professional so I really appreciate that the author did her homework and accurately depicts the symptoms of the disorder and how disabling it can be. She also accurately depicts the various treatment options available. She also gives an accurate depiction of what life is like for someone who uses prosthetics.
But what you will love most about the book is watching Jake and Natalie fall in love and watch how Jakes love is so soothing and healing for Natalie. In spite of her disability, Natalie is strong, smart and very creative. Jake's patience with Natalie is amazing. I kind of guessed who the villains were pretty early in the book, but the book is so well written I didn't mind figuring it out so soon.
My only complaint is that the ending is a little abrupt and too neatly packaged. I do hope that Kaga and Sabrina's story is next, inquiring minds want to know what's up with this mysterious, sexy man!!

Revealed to Him edition by Jen Frederick Romance eBooks Reviews
While my agoraphobia is not nearly as debilitating as Natalie has in the book, I recognized so much. I was blown away by the level of research Frederick must have done on amputees as well. These two characters were so real to me, it made me sad to get to the last page and have it be over. I'm hoping for more in the Kerr Chronicles if we get more characters like we've gotten so far.
Two wounded souls find each other in this quick read. I especially liked the H who had endured the loss of a foot and hand but made up his mind to lead a productive life. Running a successful business he is asked to help the h who is being controlled in her fear to leave her apartment. This mystery is resolved in a surprise ending and of course the two fall in love.
This book, as Jen's books always are, well written. I liked this series and wondered would there ever be Kaga and Sabrina's story. Since this book was written 3 years ago I guess not and that's a shame. Why didn't you write their story? The reason this is 4 🌟 instead of 5 was most of the story was about her phobia, it took a long time for them to get together and the action was not until the very end. Even still I enjoyed it and will read again. As usual your characters are strong and intelligent. On to your next series.
Another great read by Jen Fredricks. What i love most about this author is in each of her books the characters face challenges that many of us haven't really thought about. She so throughly researches the material for her books- something that is not the norm in chick lit. Revealed to Him is the story of Jake, a Gulf War veteran and double amputee and Natalie, a victim of cyber bulling as well as physical attacks which develops into agoraphobia. I myself had just assumed that with all the high tech prosthetics now a days, that pain wouldn't be a factor for our wounded warriors . It was a thought provoking eye opener to read about not only the pain, but the special diet and exercise regiment that must be followed in order for an amputee to have the best outcome. The challenges that those with a mental illness face was also dealt with in a sensitive way.
In the end, this book is just a great read, "a stay up all night to finish because I can't put it down" book. And as a bonus, we all learn a little about the hardships some face in returning home from war, as well as women trying to make a living in male dominated fields.
I really really liked this book. I love how it has really unconvential characters that you just want to root for. Natalie Beck is agoraphobic, she is a shut-in afraid of going outside because of all the threats and an attack that happened after it was found out she was the developer for a popular video game (very male dominated world). Her cousin turns to Jake Tanner, who is former Army Ranger and now specializes in private investigation and security after an IED attack left him with an amputated leg and arm, to help find out who is starting to harass Natalie again.
In the beginning, they only talk by phone and during their conversations, you can already tell what they are giving the other that they didn't even know that they needed. And when they finally meet, Jake absolutely has no hesitation in that he wants Natalie in his life forever, and he will take her however she may come.
I loved the banter between the two and of course the chemistry between them is earth-shattering. While with just one introduction of the characters that is in Natalie's life, I figured out who was one player of the threats behind the scene, But the other actually surprised me and how they intertwined was surprising. And I really liked that, that you think you have it figured out , and you do to a point, but she takes it ten steps further and you are actually just blown away at the angle at play.
If you have read Losing Control and Taking Control, this is a continuation of that series. And definitely one book you need to pick up and read, if not for the love story, but simply the twists she takes you on while you are trying to figure out who is the villain in the book.
